Authentic Stories from Diners
Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our Valentine’s weekend in Paris — and quite possibly the best little restaurant we’ve ever discovered. From the moment we stepped inside, Mamie welcomed us with such genuine warmth that we immediately felt less like tourists and more like cherished guests in her own home. Her hospitality is something truly special — attentive, joyful, and heartfelt. Even though our French is limited, she went out of her way to connect with us and even correctly guessing my wife nationality and profession And the food — absolutely extraordinary. The beef bourguignon was hands-down the best we’ve ever tasted: rich, tender, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with love and tradition. It felt like the most authentic French comfort dish imaginable. The wine selection was very good - nice quality and surprisingly reasonably priced, which made our romantic dinner feel indulgent without being over the top. The thoughtful touches made the evening unforgettable — a complimentary drink, a sweet dessert surprise, and small gestures that showed how much Mamie cares about her guests. If you’re visiting Paris and want to feel at home while enjoying outstanding French cuisine, this is the place.
In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Paris. Beyond the absolutely stunning food—which is arguably the most authentic French cuisine you can find—Mamie was incredibly kind and welcoming. She made a real effort to communicate with us even though our French isn't the best. The free sangria, complimentary dessert, and the lovely Paris souvenirs really made our day! A truly unforgettable experience, and I would recommend it to any one who visits Paris.
Cute little restaurant run by an elderly couple. It was highly recommended by the locals if you want real, authentic French food that they also go to. I visited right at it opens and had to wait a little because the space only fitted two to three tables. However, I was given a glass of sangria as I wanted. The owner is really friendly and charming. The food was great and very affordable, I ordered the beef stew and a bottle of their red wine, many sauces to go with my plate. The atmosphere was just amazing, very cozy and warm and welcoming. In the end, the owner gave the guest each a small gift, such a lovely and hospitable place.
What a place. We can’t recommend it enough. Mamie Susan is an absolute gem who will welcome you like family. We ordered and loved the famous boeuf Bourguignon and the Poulet Rôti. Thank you again Mamie Susan for the evening, we walked back home with our belly full and our heart filled with gratitude.
Mammie was very kind! We went to the restaurant at 10pm but she still served us ♥️ The food was great and affordable! She even gave us some treats to take home. Her mustard was very very good omg! 🤗 She doesn’t speak english but thank god for Google Translate hehe 📱More power to you, Mammie!
