Authentic Stories from Diners
Genuinely impressive from start to finish. The cooking sits above others in a similar Michelin tier - impeccably fresh, with seasoning that’s spot on, so the natural flavours really come through. Service was attentive and polished. Will definitely be back again.
The food is excellent, no question. The flavours tend to be subtle and surprising, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients and the inventiveness of the chef in blending different flavours and aromas. The service in the dining room is excellent with clear expositions as to the food. A little bit more effort needs to be made in terms of service at the reception. We were left to an unattended reception as we left and could not get our coats. It’s a small critique but when you’re in pursuit of your third stay, everything needs to be perfect.
Beautiful restaurant serving food that smells, looks and tastes incredible. Service was wonderful. People were engaging and friendly and took time to share more insights when asked. The caviar and pan per due was unique and delicious. The abalone amazing. Flavors were incredible down to the salad with the cheese course. The apricot liquor was fantastic. Really a spectacular meal in a wonderful setting. Can only reccomend
La Scène, a two Michelin star restaurant. By Chef Stéphanie Le Quellec who used to work at the Hotel Prince de Galles restaurant. The decor is chic crafted by the talented architectural duo Toro and Liautard. The walls of the room have curved wood pieces and lighted opaque glass between them. They offer two tasting menus of 7 and 10 courses. The experience was good, but nothing memorable.
The food was excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavor, just as you’d expect. Most of the service was good, but we were surprised by the consistent rudeness from one of the waitresses throughout the evening. She placed dishes and silverware down quite haphazardly, and when explaining the courses, she was almost always distracted, frequently looking around the room rather than engaging with us. It happened with almost every dish she served, which took away from the overall experience. We came in with high expectations, especially for the level of service, so that aspect was a bit disappointing
