Authentic Stories from Diners
It’s funny how bad this place is especially compared to reviews. Not only English breakfast looked sad but also the order of food appearance in the table was really off. I had to ask 3 people for jam and only got it 10 min later. Please skip this place if you want a proper breakfast not just bread with jam from supermarket. Bread was good.
I gave the place 5 stars. But it was food wise a 4 out of 5. I say this because I know im tainted and as an American, this food was delicious. BUT it had no salt for anything. Ask for it. Sprinkle it on. We USA people are used to a sodium heavy diet. So heads up. Beyond that issue. Food was tender, flavor was present and good presentation. Atmosphere is great. Be aware. I forget how prevalent smoking is in the world. Being from Chicago we have almost no smoking anywhere in and near establishments, and that is wonderful and healthy. We sat sidewalk because no room. Extremely busy and they suggested making a reservation next time if you want inside. We didnt have time, nor know this. So hope this helps others! Go, enjoy the umbrellas. In and out in 30 minutes. The specials are worth the price! Comes with beer/wine! A nice light lunch and off we go! Thank you for a quick friendly service!
Searched around my area for a restaurant with good reviews and settled on Le Ju’. The atmosphere was very lovely and it was quite busy. I ordered the Escargot and the Truffle mushroom pasta, both were delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Scrambled egg (weird & runny) with the set breakfast was 3 stars. All others was just ok nothing to write home about with the le petit déjeuner anglais 9.90€ which includes their signature coffee in a soup bowl, small oj, their style of bacon which was not bad, 1 croissant+ sliced baguette, not a bad value. Ala carte items are higher. Service staff spoke English and helpful, thus 4 stars.
The cafe around Le Marais that euphoric and charming with umbrellas decorated. It’s famous so I understand that people are very packed there. The exterior seats are very close to each others so I don’t think you can have a nice conversation there. Many people struck other’s table glass/ plates. The foods are just so-so quality, the staffs are busy and they don’t really nice and friendly just wanted to make everything delivered quickly.
